Memorable meals in minutes...
Lesley's modern fresh dishes with a twist. All easily store in the fridge and keep for several days but are so fresh they taste ' just cooked' when heated through and served! Using only fresh West Country ingredients all dishes are ready to eat at a moments notice. They work well served in large bowls or platters for everyone to serve themselves at the table, or look equally stylish as individual servings. ( serving suggestions are noted under each item on the menu pages to help when you are ordering).




'Keep it Simple... .......... ..My advice is keep it simple - and so here are just a few ideas showing how I would serve my modern dishes to my friends and family...

Starters & Mains...
Summer Black Bean Chilli......A delicious accompaniment to burgers or seared steaks straight off the BBQ cut into strips, or topped with Old Style Smoked Back BAcon that has been crisped in a frying pan served with garlic bread, guacamole and sour cream. Serve hot or at room temperature.. To heat, empty into a saucepan and cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes until heated through. Good served with a fresh green salad and warm pitta breads
Aromatic Oriental Noodle Salad... Best served at room temperature. Here topped with fresh chives and served with our Hot Smoked Salmon. For room temperature remove from fridge about 1/2 hr before serving. Serve either in small individual bowls as a starter on its own. As a main dish this is wonderful with torn strips of gently smoked chicken, smoked prawns, griddled scallops, roast duck breast or our hot smoked salmon.
Fresh Pea and Tomorrosso Risotto...Best served hot. Makes a great starter topped with crumbled west country goats cheese, or grate over seriously mature west country cheddar. Also fantastic topped with our Chorizo chipolata sausages (or any good sausage in fact!) or, as here, topped with crispy griddled Old Style Smoked Back Bacon. Also good with our hot smoked salmon heated through in the oven broken into chunks, pulled through and served with a rocket & watercress salad.
Puddings..
Lemon Posset with Blueberries... A deliciously indulgent rich double cream dessert flavoured with lemon and topped with summer berries. A very rich and 'moorish' pudding. Serve straight from the jar or in bowls with thin shortbread or tuille biscuits.
