Our Story

“We met in 1998 and soon realized our shareds beliefs and passions about fresh food. A shared passion that fuelled a dream which we continued to plan whilst working on other projects. Lesley with television work and her Cookery School in Dorset, whilst Gill undertook building a unique wooden New England shingle style house with her husband on the coast in South Devon!

As busy working women we know modern life is hectic. Weekends and holidays are precious and often there just isn't the time to cook for our family and friends in the way we would love to.

A few years ag, independently of one another, we both moved to the West Country and soon realised what incredible producers there are in the region and the sheer diversity and quality of local ingredients. We wanted to use these ingredients - so The Green Table was launched.

Our aim - to deliver the modern food we love direct to your home - after all “Eating In is the New Eating Out”. We believe fast food can be fresh and doesn't have to come out of a tin, and that good food is not about overcomplicated dishes but a simple marriage of great ingredients prepared with passion. We hope you agree when you try our delicious seasonal dishes.”
